White kerchiefs

Our tour of Buenos Aires coincided with a national holiday called Democracy Day and people were gathering in a central square to celebrate. In this square the mothers of the 'disappeared' (men who were arrested and dropped into the sea by the secret police of the military junta - in the 70's) marched around in a circle when they were told to move on.
The white painted kerchiefs are a memento of this tragedy.
